Principal Engineer

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Principal Engineer serves as the lead engineer integrating combat systems with fire control and surveillance systems to a federal program office. This is a contingent position expected to be located in Virginia Beach, VA.

• Provide combat systems integration and electronic warfare support to program as required.
• Serve as lead/principal engineer integrating combat systems with fire control and surveillance systems.
• Serve as a mentor to other engineers on the team.
• Bid and proposal support as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this role.
• Ten (10) years of experience supporting combat systems development, engineering, and integration.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, math, or physics discipline.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel,
• PowerPoint, etc.).
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  
• Must possess strong time management skills.
  
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
• Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking. 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
