Sr. Acquisition Manager

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Sr. Acquisition Manager oversees the acquisition strategy supporting combat systems development and integration with fire control and surveillance systems supporting a federal program office. This is a contingent position expected to be located in Virginia Beach, VA. 

• Oversee acquisition strategies to integrate combat systems with fire control and surveillance systems supporting a federal program office.
• Bid and proposal support if requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this opportunity.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, math, or business discipline.
• Ten (10) years of experience in acquisition management associated with combat systems development.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing radar system specifications and requirements to support radar life cycle events associated with acquisition (either a new system or a life cycle upgrade) for surveillance radars such as those listed in the SOW.
• Demonstrated experience participating within an Integrated Product Team environment, coordinating with radar engineering, logistics, installation and programmatic functions in support of acquisition (either a new system or a life cycle upgrade) for surveillance radars such as those listed in the SOW.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  
• Must possess strong time management skills.
  
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
• Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking. 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
