Reporting to the Program Manager, the Specialist, Configuration MGMT I will assist with product development, review, and evaluation of hardware, software, and associated documentation. This is a contingent position expected to be located in Newport, RI.

What You'll Do

  • Experience with unique CM processes for all classes of submarines, including Los Angeles, Seawolf, Ohio, Virginia, and Columbia.
  • Experience in reviewing technical alterations for CM product impacts.
  • Experience with Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) and audits.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and executing comment review meetings.
  • Knowledge of media management and delivery practices including experience developing 1149s and media transmittals.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Five (5) years' experience in developing and reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Temporary Engineering Change Instructions (TECIs), Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs), Change Proposals (CPs), Software Updates (SUs), and Urgent Change Requests (UCRs).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel,
  • PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
