Reporting to the Program Manager, the Deputy Program Manager (Northeast) will play a crucial role in overseeing numerous contracts at NUWCDIVNPT and supporting various aspects of our government services, including Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Program/Financial Management, Logistics, and Data Analytics. This position requires a strategic leader with strong managerial skills and a commitment to fostering a growth-centric work environment.. This position is located in Newport, RI.

What You'll Do

  • 1. Operational Leadership:

    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with government regulations.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • 2. Team Management:
    • Lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals across multiple disciplines
    • Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to promote employee development and career growth.
  • 3. Client Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with government clients, understanding their needs and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Address client concerns proactively and work towards exceeding expectations.
  • 4. Financial Management:
    • Collaborate with finance and program managers to develop and manage budgets for assigned projects.
    • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective measures.
  • 5. Employee Empowerment:
    • Champion INDUS's commitment to employee ownership and empowerment.
    • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence from day one.
    • Support and facilitate training and development opportunities for employees.
  • 6. Capture Management
    • Support the development of the Northeast capture plan and pipeline identifying key pursuits across the Northeast market. (primarily NUWCDIVNPT)
    • Gather opportunity and intelligence to include customers' pain points and INDUS's market differentiators, evaluate key stakeholders, create or obtain organizational charts, develop call plans, etc.
    • Develop and document competitor intelligence materials (e.g., SWOT analysis, etc.).
  • Additional bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required in relevant field (Engineering, IT, Business, etc.)
  • Three (3) years of Management experience
  • Proven experience in government services and project management.
  • Strong understanding of Engineering, IT, Cybersecurity, Program/Financial Management, Logistics, or Data Analytics.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of government regulations and compliance standards.

  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment

  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is desired.
