Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Manager serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in supporting program/project and financial management requirements for Navy programs, platforms, and systems. This is a contingent position expected to be located in San Diego, CA. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent. 

What You'll Do

  • Serve as subject matter expert in support of program/project and financial management requirements for Navy programs, platforms and systems.
  • Responsible for overall planning, direction and execution of Navy programs, systems development and technology initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of a program's planning, execution, management, control and reporting of cost, schedule and performance.
  • Responsible for employee and customer retention.
  • Execution of all corporate policies, procedures, processes, and data calls.
  • Serve as an INDUS ambassador and exhibit our corporate core values through your engagement with customers, employees, and industry partners, and vendors.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
  • Ten (10) years of specialized acquisition financial and program planning and budgeting experience within the DON.

  • Ten (10) years of experience interpreting and applying FM principles and familiarity with FM processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.

  • Ten (10) years of experience in being a Team Lead or senior member of the FM team with analysis decision-making experience.

  • Certifications:

    • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).

  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in business administration from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is desired.
  • Knowledge of interdependencies within and between Navy Financial, Accounting and business systems.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired.
