Reporting to the Director, the Program Manager oversees the contractor team in support of a large DoD Program Office with international and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) aspects. This candidate is charged with overseeing the team structure, tasking, and with providing senior-level support to customer leadership. Tasking includes managing all staff and subcontractors, overseeing Monthly Contract status reviews, and monitoring project financials. This is a contingent position expected to be located in Arlington, VA (Crystal City). The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent. 

What You'll Do

  • Liaison with U.S. and German governments, prime contractors, and field activities to investigate and resolve PEO IWS 11 issues and actions.
  • Provide oversight and QA for a large team provided a wide variety of different functional support to the government.
  • Day-to-day management of the program to deliver the means, methods, and resources in support of Program Management, Acquisition, Administrative Support, Systems Engineering, Financial Management, FMS, and Logistics requirements.
  • Provide guidance and direction to an execution team for specific projects or sub-tasks.
  • Direct the completion of projects within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate project-specific engagements and review work products for completeness and adherence to customer requirements.
  • Gather data, conduct analyses and develop reports on a recurring basis to communicate program/project cost, schedule and technical performance.
  • Support risk management program/processes to identify and manage risks, and then eliminate or minimize the likelihood of those risks becoming issue.
  • Interface with the client and stakeholders on project specific issues and objectives.
  • Deliver presentations and leads client meetings.
  • Uphold professional and ethical behavior of all personnel.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • HS Diploma required.
  • 15 years of experience in project/program management supporting a federal program office.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Travel: 10% travel required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited university in engineering or a related technical field is desired.
  • Prior experience supporting PEO IWS desired.
