NAVWAR 8.0 is responsible for oversight and successful execution of all corporate operations related activities for NAVWAR in support of Navy-wide Information Dominance initiatives. Due to reorganization along functional lines, this program office is consolidating and contracting for support across several 8.0 functional areas. This includes Corporate Operations, Strategic Management, Business Planning, Workforce Management, Military Management, Process Improvement, and Corporate Communications.

 

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Strategic & Training Support Analyst combines strategic support with hands-on involvement in facilitating workshops and providing training support for NAVWAR leadership and teams on the NAVWAR 8.0 Corporate Operations Support Services (COSS) contract. The ideal candidate has prior experience in organizing, preparing, and executing workshops aimed at solving complex problems, as well as helping to develop and facilitate training sessions aligned with NAVWAR’s strategic vision. The candidate will also assist in creating real-time data visualizations to inform decision-making during Problem Solving & Optimization (PSO) workshops and strategic briefings. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in designing, organizing, and facilitating training sessions and workshops for leadership and teams.
  • Provide logistical support, including scheduling, coordinating resources, and ensuring smooth execution of events.
  • Support the creation and delivery of training materials aligned with NAVWAR’s strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops such as Problem-Solving & Optimization (PSO) sessions, providing real-time data visualizations to aid discussions.
  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Tableau) to create real-time visuals during workshops, briefings, and strategic sessions.
  • Assist with data analysis and summarization of workshop outcomes to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand NAVWAR’s strategic priorities and contribute to the development of reports, recommendations, and other strategic deliverables.
  • Provide administrative support for the implementation of strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Draft meeting minutes, summarize key discussions, and document action items from strategic sessions and workshops.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication of strategic insights, workshop outcomes, and training progress.
  • Prepare reports and visual presentations for key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required. 
  • At least seven (7) years of experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis, or financial and cost analysis supporting a Navy federal program office.
  • Experience working with U.S. Navy programs, government operations, or within a military or defense-related context.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to support the logistics of workshops and training sessions.
  • Ability to create real-time data visualizations during workshops, briefings, and meetings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft minutes, prepare reports, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute insights during strategic workshops and problem-solving sessions.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking. 
  • The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience creating data visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.

 

INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $90,000. – $110,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
