NIWC PAC CDL & ISR ISEA Support provides In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) support for tactical data links and related systems in support of the US Navy. Support areas include Technical Assistance, Fleet In-Service Engineering Support, Maintenance Support, In-Service Risk Management, Integrated Logistics Support, Technical Oversight of commercial/non-governmental In-Service engineering activities, Configuration Management, Readiness and Life Cycle Analysis, Technical Documentation Development and Reliability/Availability and Maintainability (RAM) reporting and metrics.

 

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Electronics Technician Maintenance (ETM) II provides technical expertise in the testing, repair, installation, and maintenance of complex electronic systems and equipment, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with technical standards on the NIWC PAC CDL & ISR ISEA Support Services contract. This position is located in San Diego, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical expertise in the testing, repair, installation, and maintenance of complex electronic systems and equipment, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with technical standards
  • Conduct test and repair complex electronics systems, assemblies, subassemblies, circuit cards, and power supplies; troubleshoot, repair, modify, and overhaul complex electronics equipment down to the component level.
  • Perform system pre-installation Test and Check-Out (PITCO), including material packing and unpacking, inspection, calibration, and functional and operational testing.
  • Repair and replace failed items and coordinate transportation as needed.
  • Provide on-site support and coordination for installations and field change installations.
  • Prepare and present pre- and post-installation briefs, as well as daily briefs to ship and shore station personnel.
  • Conduct site preparation, including HVAC, power requirements, and foundation installation and upgrades.
  • Perform system installation, relocation, reinstallation, and testing of incidental interfering equipment.
  • Restore impacted installation areas to their original condition and appearance.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience providing electronics technical support directly to a NAVWAR Echelon III program office.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area, or on-board ships, submarines, and/or in weapon facilities. 
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

 

INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $33.93 - $38.18 per hour. The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
