We are searching for a proactive candidate, eager to contribute to the growth and enhancement of our Contracts Team, aligning with our commitment to meeting customer requirements. The Contracts department is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end contract management process, including contract negotiation, drafting, and execution, as well as ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations and regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Contracts team collaborates closely with internal departments to facilitate effective communication and provide guidance on contractual matters, playing a pivotal role in maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction and sustained business growth. Our Contracts team is responsible for supporting a broad range of service contracts (prime and subcontract awards) across multiple contract types to include CPFF FFP, CPIF, CPAF and T&M. We are seeking a collaborative team builder with ability to interface with executive management on a regular basis and assist with supporting a team of contract administrators and other support staff. Qualified candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience pricing proposals in a DoD environment.

 

Reporting to the Director of Contracts and in support of the Contracts Manager, the Contracts Administrator serves as a liaison between INDUS Technology, Inc., and customer Contracting Officers and/or subcontract procurement agents as needed for pre-award activities, proposals, and contract negotiations, as well as cradle-to-grave contract administration activities on INDUS Technology, Inc.’s awarded contracts within our Contracts department. We are hiring for this position in any one of the following locations:

  • San Diego, CA.
  • Keyport, WA.
  • Newport, RI.
  • Charleston, SC.

What You'll Do

  • Review and negotiate a variety of agreements (e.g., Proprietary Information Agreements (PIA), Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Consulting Agreements, etc.) and develop related documentation.
  • Lead and perform pricing analysis and develop price-to-win options for upper management analysis and decision-making.
  • Lead the review, analysis, and evaluation of RFP requirements, take exception to terms (as appropriate), develop, and submit compliant cost proposals.
  • Support and advise management on potential risks, contractual rights, and obligations by providing advice/guidance to different internal teams relating to contract generation and negotiation.
  • Stay current with new laws and proposed legislation, interpret the potential impact on current and future contracts.
  • Support proposal preparation, price negotiations, post-award activities, contract lifecycle management (CLM) stages, such as but not limited to, contract and agreement initiation, negotiation of terms and conditions, contract administration through close-out.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and organized contract documentation and records.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with contracting officers of the US government, prime contractors, DCAA, DCMA and other related organizations.
  • Serve as the singular point of contact for assigned contracts and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Handle correspondence with external/internal stakeholders.
  • Manage FAR/DFAR requirements and contractual flow-downs, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • The ability to obtain and maintain an active secret clearance is required to be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 5 - 10 years of experience in contracts administration/management, preferably in a government contracting environment.
  • Must possess strong knowledge of contract law, regulations, and industry standards such as but not limited to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Must possess strong attention to details.
  • Must possess excellent negotiation, oral and written communication, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with writing and the development of cost proposals.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to handle multiple demands and shifting priorities effectively.
  • Must have flexibility to work non-traditional hours, when necessary, in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Travel Required: 10% required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A current active secret clearance.
  • Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM) is desired.
  • Experience with Joint Ventures (JV) and Mentor Protégé relationships.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.

 

INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $79,550 – $110,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
