Reporting to the Program Manager, the Senior Logisitician will provide support for a full range of Integrated Product Support Services (IPSS) that are complex and involve a network of interrelated tasks that streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and minimize the total cost of ownership throughout the product's life cycle. Functions encompass planning, coordinating, maintenance, logistics, reverse logistics, integrating technology, training, managing data, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risks, and providing customer service to various departments of Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD). This is a contingent position expected to be located in Port Hueneme, CA. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer contingent.
Integrate logistics processes across operational, acquisition, and wholesale environments.
Direct the integrated logistics process by developing support policies, procedures, and systems, and providing implementation guidance.
Prepare and implement directives to ensure effective logistics support, and establish and enforce standards to ensure the workforce is properly trained and equipped.
Develop, initiate, integrate, and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems, and equipment.
Produce weekly reports, trip summaries, and Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) for Integrated Product Team meetings, and provide feedback on modernization metrics, lessons learned, and improvement recommendations for NSWC PHD leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to travel and work aboard ships.
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan workload and meet established deadlines.
Ability to clearly and concisely articulate technical subject matter in both written and verbal formats.
Knowledge of Navy/DoD acquisition and logistical processes.
Comfortable presenting work progress and status updates in meetings with Senior Program personnel.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute project activities on schedule.
Strong self-initiative and ability to multi-task.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a highly dynamic and challenging environment.
