Reporting to the Program Manager, the Financial Analyst is responsible for providing EuroMIDS BFM support and serving as the expert in managing funds for the MIDS International Program Office (IPO) European Partner Nations. The position is responsible for populating and maintaining "real-time data" in the EuroMIDS Financial System. The candidate shall track and analyze the execution data and prepare status reports, initial and revisions, within the time required to meet program-scheduled deadlines. The Contractor shall assist and prepare Financial Accounting Datasheets (FADs) for MIDS contracting efforts with EuroMIDS.

 

This is a contingent position expected to be located in San Diego, CA. The pay range for the position will be provided at the time the position is no longer conting 

What You'll Do

  • Performs all functional duties independently.
  • Provide financial management support for a branch, office, organization, or department.
  • Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders.
  • Manage finances across multiple funding types.
  • Track budgets, costs, and variances.
  • Produce executive summaries.
  • Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
  • Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
  • Interpret and apply financial management principles.
  • Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.
  • Bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required in finance, business, leadership or a related field. 
  • Five (5) years of experience in DoD financial management experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience in financial systems.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a DoD International Program Office.
  • Five (5) years of experience in working with International Banks, reviewing, routing, and coordinating International Banking aggreements.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to complete concurrent tasks
  • Ability to learn and apply technical concepts to assigned duties.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Travel Required ~10% travel required. 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Multifunctional Information System (MIDS) Program Office, or similar DoD Program that manages foreign funding.
  • Experience with WebFM.
  • Experience working in Navy ERP.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
